After nearly 20+ years in the transportation industry, we discovered a growing need for reliable non-emergency medical transportation in Winnipeg. We recognized that people requiring stretcher and accessible transportation were often facing long wait times and missed appointments. Gullwing Care Services was created to help close that gap—providing safe, timely, and dependable transportation when it matters most.
Our story
Our journey in the transportation industry began nearly 30 years ago, starting out with general transit and eventually expanding to include wheelchair and ambulatory services, plus accessible buses for Winnipeg.
Everything changed when a close relative of our owner needed a stretcher transport for a medical appointment. Because of long wait times and delays, she missed her appointment entirely. Recognizing a critical gap in timely, reliable care for those unable to travel upright, the vision for Gullwing Care Services was born. We set out to introduce an on-time, dedicated stretcher transportation division to ensure no one ever has to miss vital healthcare because of transit challenges.
Today, Gullwing Care Services helps people manage their health without feeling stuck at home. Our goal is to bring peace of mind and freedom back to our clients, so they can focus on what matters most.
To make every trip as comfortable as possible, our vans feature easy-to-use ramps and enough room for two family members or staff to ride along. We also stick to a strict routine of regular maintenance, deep cleaning, and safety checks so you can always count on us.
